IRL ꩜ January 2024 events to check out in D.C.
Here are a few "cool things to do in D.C." — and by cool, I mean "soul-enriching."
I love those “cool things to do in D.C.” lists, but that’s not why I’m creating my own.
I will be publishing these once because, as I get more embedded in my local communities — you know, really rooting down into the brick-and-mortar geographies accessible to me by foot and public transit — I want to keep track of all of the genuinely cool things to do in my homebase city.
By “cool” things to do, I mean "soul-enriching” and radically kind.
I’m also including virtual events, for the sake of accessibility. I also include them as a low-cost, low-stakes, $free.99 way to support a lot of the smaller artists, healers, writers and facilitators who I find to be very heart-centered and aligned with Swimming Home’s values.
From a Busboys & Poets revival of Gaza Monologues, to Femme Fatale collage nights to post-colonial tug-of-wars tinged with Catholic guilt c/o Suns Cinema, here’s what’s on the docket for this weekend and the rest of January 2024.
And let me know if you'd like your Washington, D.C. and/or virtual events celebrating spiritual homecoming, authenticity and vulnerability to be included!
